2017 Miami Winter NSL Invitational

Posted March 28, 2017 by Toni Cerbo

Thirteen Ten80 Student Racing Challenge teams and two Ten80 Student Rover Challenge teams gathered at Miami Dade College’s Wolfson Campus for a fast-paced day of competition.

Things heated up on the racetrack! The racetrack was relatively small, and though there were a few pileups along the way, teams raced cleanly and respectfully. Colorful, graphic car bodies zoomed around the track, as teams made overt and subtle impacts with their driving skills. And, with some success, Rover Teams navigated the maze.

In addition to all the fun, and skills, the students displayed on the racetrack and rover maze, the hallways were lined with creative and innovative team logos and good, clean presentation boards. The judges were impressed and rated the 3-minute fever pitches highly. As members of the National STEM League, students showcased important 21st Century Skills to propel them into academic and professional success.

And the winners are … drum roll please …
