Ten80’s flagship programs, Driving STEM (formerly named Math2Go) and the Student Racing Challenge, were developed initially as tools to support educator STEM professional development. Ten80’s engineer-educator teams provide the following professional development opportunities.
Coffee & Conversation at Ten80 STEM Expos
STEAM … STEM … Project Based Learning. Acronyms and buzz terms come and go, but the concepts behind these have been around for more than a decade and have staying power for the long-haul. Join these morning gatherings at each Ten80 STEM Expo to discuss the fundamentals of successful “project based learning that doesn’t forget the learning.” Participants engage in discussion, share best-practices and learn about Ten80’s curriculum and regional support initiatives.

Participants take away a STEAM unit plus STEAM planning materials for use with their current curriculum options. Any investigation can become STEAM with a few small changes!
Driving STEM for Grades 3-5
Students have increased scores and developed deeper understanding of data driven decision-making in the context of physical science with “Driving STEM.” The workshop introduces physical science as a springboard for project based learning. Educators transfer knowledge directly back to the classroom with resource materials included in the workshop.
