Ten80 Education Announces Host for 2020 STEM League Championship

Ten80 Education (Ten80) is happy to announce Nova Southeastern University (NSU) will host the 2020 National STEM League (NSL) Finals Showcase and Competition. The two-day championships will take place in Fort Lauderdale, Florida the weekend of April 25-26, 2020.

“We are extremely proud and excited to bring the NSL Finals to NSU, which shares our commitment to fostering academic excellence and intellectual inquiry,” said Terri Stripling, CEO and president of Ten80. “We look forward to building upon past triumphs and couldn’t be more excited to bring the best two days of student competitions to this young, bold and forward-thinking university.”

During this two-day event, middle and high school teams from across the nation and China compete for the Grand Championship. Students face each other in racing, robotics and drone challenges, business enterprise presentations, engineering projects and graphic design. The finals are the culmination of yearlong programs in which students think innovatively about how engineering performance and emerging technologies can improve personal, academic and professional pursuits.

“Being selected to host the NSL finals is a great honor and a perfect opportunity to introduce students to our great programs,” said Meline Kevorkian, Ed.D., dean of NSU’s College of Computing and Engineering. “We are excited to welcome the talented and hard-working students to our campus and encourage them to take some time to enjoy all that NSU has to offer.”
