2017 South Florida NSL Fall Kick-Off

Students gathered at The Benjamin School in Palm Beach Gardens, FL for a fast-paced day of National STEM League competitions on November 17, 2017.
With almost 200 people in attendance, students nerves frayed as they prepared for the first South Florida competition of the season. Seven teams, including two new teams, came prepared and ready to compete. Students’ hearts skipped a few beats as their colorful race cars hurtling down the track. A pileup here and a spinout there didn’t slow them down. All the students were professional, courteous, kind, hard-working, innovative and let’s not forget competitive!!
Students are on the fast track as they continue designing, building and racing their precision-engineered race cars. Team presentations highlighted the true real-world experience, these students are managing all aspects of their own race team – from vehicle research, design and manufacturing, to finances and sponsorships.
Congratulations to all teams for a great performance. We look forward to seeing you at other events of our 2017-2018 competition season!
